hi,
i want to put some small strip lights under my kitchen cupboards but i notice that they have to be connected to the mains..? is there any kind of light strips which i can put up myself which can be operated by battery or something? i dont want to have to pay to get an electrician out for what seems to be a small job.. i'd rather just stick & go. i dont think i'd be brave enough to play with electricity myself so no suggestions that i can do it lol i'd blow the house up!
many thanks

You could also just wire a plug to the cables that come with the wire-in strip lights. I did this to test mine before permanent installation.0

How about some battery powered LED spotlights that you could stick under your cupboards.

Most DIY stores have link up systems -tubes and lights you either stick or screw where required, plug in the link up leads and standard plug. I've seen round battery operated units in Ikea and Homebase.may you live in interesting times0
