How to cancel GE Money/Topman card

I signed up for a Topman store card ages ago but don't use or want it. It's still glued to the letter it come with in the post! Should I cancel it or just chop it up and throw it away? Will it affect my credit rating having a card I don't use?
If I should cancel it, can anyone tell me how to do so?

The cancellation procedure is normally detailed in the credit agreement.
The card often comes affixed to an abridged version of the credit agreement.
