Ditto. Name or supplier appreciated here too please. Would like to consider it, if it reduced condensation...?

I used this cling film stuff you mentioned ......every year. It was brilliant at stopping the draughts.

If I remember back, you have to put the double sided tape around the window, put the film upto it and then use a hairdryer to heat and make the film go taught !.

1st priority is to insulate the house. Dont lose all that valuable heat through the roof. Plenty of loft insulation.

Many moons ago when I lived in a crappy bedsit which had draughty sash windows.........I bought some of the stuff mentioned by robowen. It worked a treat and made such a difference to the winter months.

It's a cheap and cheerful way to keep your rooms draught free and cosy.:j

Thanks robowen, I found it in Wickes this morning.

Basically its 6 square metres of plastic dust sheet with a roll of double sided sticky tape. £6.59.

I found it very easy to put up, it took me about 15 minuets to do a 1.2 x 2.4 window, though I would think a bay window could be tricky.

I also found this one, much more expensive though.

    Hi,
When I lived in a draughty old house I had a curtain behind the door.
You would not believe the amount of draughts that cut out.
