Hi all again,
I am a bit confused here.. As I am over 25 and single I am entitled to a one-bedroom property under LHA.. Does that mean proper one-bed - e.g. bedroom plus living room or a studio flat?
Also, if my rent is £800 per month and the local housing allowace is £156 per week would I be entitled to aything at all?
Thank you xx

If you pay more rent than your LHA you have to pay the difference yourself. £800 per month rent for a single person is an enormous amount!0 -
LHA 156 x 52 divide 12 = £676 a month LHA per month your entitled to, this can rise and fall by the way!
If you rent at £800 a month you are £124 short and have to pay that yourself but you do have the right to make that decision if you wish to budget for that and cut your budget in other ways that is up to you. When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -
and if you work or have other income the LHA amount will be reduced or you may not get any0
