£100pm Monthly Investments - Help!

I am looking at starting to invest in funds by monthly investment.
I have a spare £100 pounds to invest and have been looking at 100's of funds. I am 25 and plan to invest for the long term.
Due to the long term out look I am happy to see a loss of 50-60% in valve in the hope of long term growth.
I have selected 2 funds which I am interested in and would plan to add more to my portfolio later as more money become available for investing
the two funds I am looking at are:
Jupiter UK Growth
JPM Natural Resources
I know you can't recommend funds, but does anyone have any thoughts on this selection?

If you go onto the Hargreaves Lansdown website (h-l.co.uk) I think - you will find that they offer a lot of funds there under their Research section. A number of them are offered under their Wealth 150 range, (marked with a star) which are the funds which they feel comfortable recommending. Check if your two selected fund are in the Wealth 150. If they are, this might give you a clue as to how they're viewed (by H-L at least).0

just checked and yes - both of them are in H-L's Wealth 150 recommended range0

No idea. but I invested in 2 global growth, one in top 150, one not. the one in the top 150 is doing worse....
But I have only had them for a few months so I cannot say that in 5 years time the one in the top 150 will have done well lol.
Morningstar rate Jupiter as 4*'s (5*s for 5 years)
The natural resoruces one - is it portfolio A or B?0 -

Not sure if its A or B. There are two on H-L. One is accumulation and other is income, I have looked at the one for accumulation. This fund is high risk, and as such I may look at a lower risk fund and look at buying into this fund at a later date when I wont be as exposed and can spread my risk greater with a wider choise of funds.0
