All DS games are region free, so you can play UK games on a US DS and vice versa. Not sure about GBA games, though.

As for charging, you should be ok with a simple adaptor.
However, if you're thinking of having it shipped over, bare in mind things like customs. I'm not sure how it works, but there's probably a page on the site about this. But basically, they'll add VAT, and possibly some other stuff on, which you'll have to pay when you collect it.
  • I have a UK DS Lite, and we purchased a USA one as well when we were on holiday in the states. You can just use the appropriate charger depending on what country you are in. ie: In the USA we charge both DS' with the USA charger (that we got with the USA DS), and in the UK we charge both DS' with the UK charger (that we got with the UK DS).

We bought our USA DS from Walmart, as the guarantee is valid in this country too - if your DS breaks down, you can just take it to an ASDA store. It cost us £65. Games are loads cheaper over there too.

You can buy a new power lead for about £5 from game/gamestation, saves messing about with adaptors etc.
