Economy 7

I am considering having storage heaters installed in my property as I cannot get a gas connection. I got a quote from my Electric Supplier (Southern Electric) to install two storage heaters and to convert the emersion heater on to the Economy 7 meter. They have given me a quote to carry out the work and provide the necessary parts of £2.5k.

Does anyone know of companies that can carry out this sort of work other than the Utility companies themselves? Also, would British Gas or other Electricity Suppliers carryout the work ?

Hi S2....An electrician would be cheaper , supply and fit.
They are heavy items and if for upstairs will need to come dis-assembled. Can be seen occasionally secondhand but the weight problem needs to be overcome.
Then inform Southern Electric to put in an E7 meter, probably at no charge.
