What to look for in a good Building & Contents Policy ?

Hi
Just in the process of renewing our Building & Contents insurance.
At the moment we're with Tesco's but at the moment considering switching to Churchill if Tesco's don't make us a good offer.
The thing is I'm totally confused. I've looked at the comparison sites and they give you lots of cheap quotes but when you investigate further they've got high excesses or low level contents insurance or no acidental damage cover etc etc so now typing details into individual sites to try and get proper quotes.
What should I be looking for in a good policy ??
I've calculated a rebuild cost
I've estimated our contents to ensure not under insured
I'm including accidental damage
What else ?
Obviously I'm trying to save money but at the same time I also want a decent policy that should the worst happen will give me decent support.
Any tips or advice greatfully received !!
Thanks
