I wonder if anybody could help? I'm getting texts from a number I don't know. The texts never make sense and say something along the lines of:
Hello vbdjfowehfqkjebfqkljbwfqw
I have tried to call the number numerous times but they never answer, it goes to o2 voicemail.
I am also with o2 so I called them and asked if there was anything I could do to make them stop. They told me 'no' and that I would have to go to the police. Seriously?! the police will just laugh at me! Has anybody got any advice on what I could do to stop these annoying texts? I must get about 4 per day.

I assume you're not being charged for these texts?Stompa0

No. They are just from a normal mobile number. Well, my bill hasn't came in yet but I assume not because the o2 guy checked. And when I call it goes to an o2 voicemail.0

You're calling the number back? Are they coming from a standard mobile number - or an 070 number by any chance?countrygirl84 wrote: »I have tried to call the number numerous times but they never answer, it goes to o2 voicemail.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
No, it's definitely a mobile number. It's 079..... I have tried to call it back to see who it was or why I was getting insane texts. I just thought it a bit extreme going to the police as they aren't threatening or nothing. they will just laugh at me. They are just more annoying than anything and I dont really wanna change my mobile number.0

Bit of a longshot but it might be worth checking the number here:

(they appear to have quite a lot of 079... numbers listed)Stompa0 -
Hey. I have just checked the number. It is actually a 075 number which is still a number. I have logged a message with that website. Thanks.0
