Northern Rock Dropping Interest rate

The interest rate on the NR eSaver account is due to drop by 0.25% on the 24th September.

Seems this bank has an unfulfilled death wish. Time to move my money again I think.

But, of course, it has nothing to do with a death wish. It is the fact that people perceive it to be the only safe place so they have deposits coming out of their ears!

I just opened an account at 6% and just started to transfer funds to Northern Rock and now they say its dropping to 5.75% will be leaving and going to Kaupthing Edge.

I've had money in NR for a few months now, and kept it in there for safety and a reasonable interest rate in comparison to the alternatives. Not best pleased with this, and will seriously consider moving my money. I never liked funding the government anyway :D
