  • 5 months? You're lucky ;).

You should try switching a former Portman ISA out of Nationwide BS.

Why dont you just take your money and go, if they cant carry out something simpe then god help them
  • i know what you are saying and that would be great to do but after all the stress and time elapsed so far i feel i deserve something more out of this now. I have come this far and they do not deserve to treat customers like this so i would like them to pay for their ways!!!

  • So my next step is to go to the Abbey branch that took my business in the first plavce to see / hear what they have to say about this mess. I am now armed with the letters from the Halifax for them to look at. All i want is to put my savings somewhere. Wish me luck as i get another grey hair come through, well at least if i had any i would. :)

  • So today i have now hand delivered a formal letter of complaint to the Abbey at the branch i opened the isa account with. I was told that this would be sent through to their complaint handling team and should expect a reply within a week. Funny though as i have already lodged a verbal complaint with the same department, and as of yet, am still waiting for the outcome of that. The branch did offer me the chance of going back in a week if i had heard nothing back (very reasuring me thinks) and that they would then mak e the phonecalls for me. ok so i don't then have to pay for the 0845 calls and i get to sit in the luxery suite that is the desk area. I guess if i can bunk off work for half a day, then i might get somewhere. Oh the joy of switching, is it just me moaning or am i right in pursuing this complaint, after all it is five months today since i opened this isa account and it's still not done.

In my expericene I have found Halifax (HBOS) to be crooked and dishonest bank
in every aspect of its business I know of.
  • Can't say my experiences with HBOS have been a barrel of laughs.
