Council Tax Benefit, Working Tax Credits and being a Student?!?!

Hi,
I don't know if I am posting in the right section but thought I would give it a try anyway.
I have just started an Access to HE course which is a full time course but am able to keep working at my 21hr per week job (for which I get Working Tax Credits and Child Tax Credits including the lone parent element and childcare elements).
My question is, will I now qualify for Council Tax benefit (other than the 25% single occupancy I already get), and if I do - will this affect my tax credits? I am so confused by it all!
Any information would be most welcome!
Thanks a million,
Vicky

Unfortunately not.
You either have the ctc/wtc benefits or the ctb benefit, you can't have both.
I work 18.5 hours a week and get ctc and wtc, but cannot have ctb or hbLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
If you're the only person over the age of 18 living at your address and you are a full time student then you don't pay any council tax anyway!0

Thank you - I just find some of these systems really confusing! I am going to spend this evening filling in the (rather huge!) Council Tax form.

You'll need to get proof of your student status from your college; ask in Student Services.0

Thank you for that bit of advice, I shall get on to it tomorrow.0
