Virgin Holidays - Tribe Card

I wonder if anyone on here, perhaps who work for Virgin holidays call centre could tell me how they work out the discount for someone with a tribe card?

We have been quoted different prices nearly every time we phone and now we've booked our holiday we can't work out how the discount works.

Also my oh was told you could use tribe and also get a free upgrade on car hire with a frequent flyer card, whereas I was told it had to be either tribe or frequent flyer.

Quite possibly because the price of holidays fluctuates?

I think the upgraded car is if you have a Frequent Virgin card. Thats different to a Virgin Flying Club card.
