Extended warantee \ insurance on white kitchen appliances from homeserve.com?

i have a dishwasher, gas hob and fridge freezer which i which to insure for manufacturers defects.

I have been looking around and do you think homeserve is a good option?

they charge only 11.99 a month for 3 applicainces?

any oppinions please?

I think you have to look at the likelihood of a defect coming to light - if the articles are all new then yes maybe for one year it could be worth having a policy - although they tend to contain very complex exclusions and are difficult to claim on - if they are over 6 months old in general any faults are not likely to come from the manufacturer and therefore incidents could be covered on either Standard contents cover (household insurance) or accidental damage - therefore the comment made above - although made with little explanation might not necessarily be bad advice

i understand the concept of putting monery in savings, but please i really want insurance. They are fitted appliances etc and i have thought about the cost of fitting them etc etc.
