Nut Allergy - Tesco My Babys Chamomile Shampoo 400ml

I just bought this via the online home delivery. On the website it gave no details of ingredients and when I received item, low and behold it contains almond oil. Aaargh!!!

I think it is particularly bad that Tesco's have put Almond into a baby product without giving any proper information or warning. I have got a refund and an address to complain to. All I want is for all items containing nut or nut products to be highlighted on the web page.

My daughter is the nut allergy and she is allergic to all nuts. She has had minor reactions to topical products in the past and it should be remembered that little ones often 'swallow' some bathing products during the fun of bath-time!

It was a good job that I wasn't on auto-pilot and I remembered to check the ingredients.

That's a pretty tall order. With the number of product lines sold that change on a daily basis at a retailer like Tesco, you can't expect them to keep all their ingredient information 100% accurate and then highlight each ingredient for specific allergies they may affect?

If they did this for every allergy that a consumer may have, then it would be a massive job (and still proabably wouldn't be 100% accurate).

It you have specific allergy requirements then it's best to either stick to products you are 100% sure of or buy them in person and check the ingredients before you purchase.

You have a refund, what else do you want? Blood?

I did think this as well. You'd end up with so many disclaimers/warnings etc it would make the site almost impossible to shop.

  • Fair play.
It's only the life of a three-year-old, why should anyone care!

    Muppet

Its the parents who should care, as online shopping doesnt have ingredients its not the best medium for someone with allergies

If you where that worried you should go and shop in stores

What your moaning about is absolutely ridicolous and the reply quoted just shows what a prat you are
