I agree with Paul when he says Go to ombudsman - please do.

However, I do not agree with the extremely cocky and angry view Paul has taken - As MBNA is treating many people extremely badly and obviously they have a mess in their system, this needs to be pointed out. If I had a business and behaviour of my employees had bad affect on how is my business running, I would certainly like to know.

Camaro - Please writte to the Ombudsman and disclose the disstres they caused. If nothing else at least it might cause a bit of awareness for the chiefs.
  • Cocky? Angry? <shrug> Wasn't meant to come across that way.

There's no point in telling someone to go to the FSO, if (1) they don't have a clear idea of what they want done (Camaro does) and (2) they haven't already completed all the steps that the FSO require of you before you do go to them. (Camaro appears to have.)

All that'll happen if you don't have (1) is the FSO turns round and says "well what do you want us to do about it?" and if you don't have (2) then they won't even entertain you, telling you to go back to the company and complete their complaints procedure.

Camaro - you may want to include in your letter an estimate of your time spent trying to deal with this (at least thus-far); see http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=846765
