More and more people seem to be using animated pics, smileys and now tickers to illustrate their posts...just wondered if/how much all these bells and whistles contribute to slowing down the site/using up resources ???
Personally I like to see them and I'm as guilty as anyone in using them but would be happy to remove any stuff if it helped.

I hope they don't interfer with the speed of the site or running of it in anyway as I think with some of us are able to express ourselves better with some of the pictures, and it shows how happy we are, with all the smileys and stuff. ;D0
