  • What about going for walks on the beaches at Findhorn, Burghead or Lossiemouth? Borrow a dog and get it to fetch the ball/stick for you?
  • Ive been to the cairngorms when they have their xmas market , , it was great. You are right about Elgin . . . they can go there any weeekend so its not like a day out for them. . .. too much Jimmy Chungs . I quite like the beach at Lossie and watching the planes come in and out. I was thinking about near Peterhead , I ve had a few days training over there and it doesnt look as bad as it can be portrayed.

How about the Strathspey Railway its not expensive (£26 for a family ticket) and can be an interesting day out and they are operating every Wed & Thurs during October.

if you go to a fife branch could always stay at the glenrothes travel lodge for a night or too and nearby is the wok and spice chinese buffet restaurant or a brewsters fayre type of thing at the other side of the roundabout. you could also go on down to anstruther for the "famous fish and chips" (personally nothing "wow" about the chips but the fish is meant to be super) and visit the scottish fisheries museum. there is also dundee for the discovery ship and sensations plus the weavers mill or something.

We were at Landmark in Carrbridge on Monday - used Tesco clubcard deals to pay entry ( £33.20 for family of 4). Our 2 DS 9 & 7 loved the high wire assault course - Food in the cafe was reasonable too.
No Longer addicted to Boots! - Well not today anyway!! :blushing:
