Dishwasher baking all the dishes with salt.

Hi,

Our Zanussi dishwasher has been working fine, however the last couple of days it is starting to leave a baked salt residue on everything (only way to get rid of it is to scrub with washinp up liquid - defeats the object of the dishwasher!).

Any ideas on how to resolve or is it the end?

Thanks

Strangely, this happens when you do not have enough salt in the machine. Check the level as a first step and top it up if it is low.

Otherwise your machine may not be pumping properly so check the hose at the back.
  • Our bosch one did that and I had left the cap from the salt reservoir undone. Just a thought. As we live in a hard water area we have to use 3 in 1 tabs and salt as well.

We use the all in one tablets, however without the salt in the machine, doesn't seem to work effectively.

As I said in the original post, the machine has worked fine until now and has only been problematic in the last couple of days.

OH bought a FINISH machine cleaner today - had to put face down in the machine (empty) and run a hot (65deg) cycle. Seems to have done the trick - I was getting a bit worried that I would have to start washing up
