  • not sure how week 6 will pan out Luc - OH was out Fri and Sat night and I just had half a bottle of wine and half a packet of choccy digestives each night for dinner (whoops) and I sneaked on the scales today, 2 days early and apparently I've put on 2 pounds!! Not quite sure how that can be, so not expecting much this week !!

Ooh, I hope you feel suitably privileged!

Am feeling hassled this afternoon, keep getting stupid phonecalls about stupid things that are either nothing to do with me or that the people at the other end should know about without having to ask, seeing as they've worked here about 10 times longer than I have! And am getting messed about over what I'm doing at the weekend, I hate having my plans changed (little bit of control freak in there I think :o ). Grrrr.

Cat sneaks in and pretends she's been lurking here all day

    Afternoon all,

I'm so down at the moment I think I'm a liability; ever since the meeting with my manager who gave 99% praise and I'm just so gutted about the 1% negative comment (I upset a collegue when I told her she'd got her facts wrong) and it's been playing on my mind all blooming weekend:mad:

Second thing that I know is playing on my mind a LOT is the first of my proper fetal anomaly scans on Thursday. I'll be having about 4 fetal anomaly scans (10 weeks, 12 weeks, 14 weeks and then 20 weeks) and I know what's gone wrong in the past and I'm so scared there'll be something wrong again which makes me just about desperate for everything to be all right. I keep having nightmares about all the things that have gone wrong in the past (and could go wrong again) and I wake myself up crying!

Anyhow, this isn't being all positive and upbeat in a Pollyanna type way is it?

I'm toying with the idea of going to my cousin's 40th in Doncaster this weekend - celebrations on Friday night and then a bit of C******** shopping on Saturday. Wayne and I managed to get 3 and a bit presents this weekend so I only have to get some more specialty beers for BIL and a family theatre ticket for his Brother and family and that's his side sorted. I know what I'm getting my sister's kids but my brother is such a pain I have no idea what to get him

    Love and hugs to all,

Big dodgy hug for you cat. It is difficult to let go of the 1% negative comment, and if its any consolation it shows that you are a kind and conscientous (sp!) person who cares a great deal. This says a lot about you..... but do try to move on..I know it is easier said than done, but it is exactly that - done - in the past...just learn from it.

As for the scans, I am sure nothing I say will put your mind at rest till you have had the scan, but you are doing the right thing by taking your mind off things...

    can't find the dodgy hug...xxxxx
