Hotels in Germany

Hi I'm planning 2 visits to Germany soon, the first to Cologne and the 2nd to Paderborn. Does anyone have any suggestions for good central hotels?

We stayed in a nice place hear Gutersloh, not too far from paderborn http://www.hotel-zur-wartburg.de/, depends what level you want and if you need to be exactly in paderborn.

As for Paderborn, we do need to be in central Paderborn, the Best Western Arosa is a possibility.

When in Cologne I'm thinking somewhere near the central train station may be my best bet as I will be travelling in from the airport on my own late at night. Have looked at the Exelsior Hotel which looks lovely but atad out of my budget unfortunately. Hoping for somewhere around 100=110 euro a night.
