How to put photos on to a dvd?

Hi,
Hope someone can help me with this one, my sister had a baby a few months ago and has took loads of photos and has asked me to put them all onto a disk so she can watch them and is wanting music on it playing aswel if possible.
I have roxio and nero on my computer but every time i have tried it the disk keeps coming out blank.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry Geddes, A photo is just like any other file, just drag an drop really to the cd. I dont like/have Roxio/Nero on any pc's so cannot advise here but I do have Vista and that can do it. Windows DVD Maker. There are other titles out there do you have Pinnacle Studio. You need to place the photos in the order you want add titles and your music has to be in sync with image changes. (Dashing of to work, back later, hopefully other will have more ideas soon).

I use a product called Proshow Gold.

You just drag and drop your photos, select your music choices and then you can synchronise the music to the photos. ie if the photos last for 10 minutes the music will as well. You can select different changes between the photos wipe fade etc.
