Thanks Tia I know some bissoms then!

Have now hemmed DDs trousers - pleased with myself as I checked the other leg - and that would have been down soon too - the one I noticed was becase they were on the line.
I am going to put DD's duvet in the cover now then get the rest on the washing in.
It's been a lovely day here but I bet the temperature will plummet again - so I am going to close the windows now to keep the warmth in!
Anybody heard from Johanne...mumoffour77...Redmadcurls or seen them on other forums?

Been to the farm shop and now have:

    2 punnets raspberries
    Cherry toms
    Ordinary toms
    Aubergine
    Courgettes
    Orange pepper
    Green pepper
    Carrots
    Little Gem
    Spinach
    3 sweetcorn

Looked in the freezer. It needs defrosting but I can't be bothered to work out what's in there at the moment. And can't be bothered to meal plan... so off to the supermarket to buy random stuff and I'll work out tomorrow what I'm going to do wtih it all (I know I could live on the veggies I've just bought and the contents of my freezer and cupboards, but I need yogurt and can't be bothered to make any :o )

I'm mopping the floor on the way out...

No Valli - funny you mentioning them I was just thinking of them last night!!!

Tag - well done on the weight loss
Kazm - what a lovely treat from your DS
Tia - hugs for you and your DS - still think you should complain - its not your place to chase these people thye should have been chasing you with appointments to see how DS was doing IMHO.

I have done two WM - both line dried and ready for ironing
went to Morrisons - first time in ages - big mistake - too busy bing a saturday and the end of the month! couldnt find half the things I was looking for and got really hacked off being run over by trolleys!!!
Took yet another book to postoffice
Had a look in a few charity shops for curtains - I was supposed to be getting a pair from a woman on freecycle but she only went and put them on 'offer' on freecycle when they didnt sell on ebay when i was in hospital so they have gone! Was a bit miffed as she had contacted me and offered me them if they didnt sell!?!

But on a good note I am getting rid of 2 freecycle bits to a single mother tomorrow! Less things in my cupboard!!!
had 2 long phone calls(1 hour each!) from people who obviously needed a chat about their family problems - I think I would make a good counsellor :rotfl: and then caught up on thread so not much flying done!!

But will probably do a bit of the filing on the kitchen table while watching a film - thats the plan (i think)

Can anyone give me advice on what to sell my mountain bike for - the hospital have said I am not to bike (booo hiss !!!!) so there is no point it sitting in the shed - hasnt been out for 2 years nearly!!! Its in very good condition 21 gears - my mate across the road said he would be interested for his fiance but I dont know what to ask?? there's a new crash helmet and cat's eye lights too.

    toots xx

    I'm back!

I'm off to clean the bathroom I think.

I bought 2 tins of chocolates for Christmas a few weeks ago from Mr Ts when they were on BOGOF but I took them straight to my parents' house so they won't get eaten!

Anyone want to join me in a HHC @ 6.30?

pass the raspberries this way greenbee :D my favourite nomnomnom! and make some yoghurt :p you know it tastes better ***shuffles her empty muller pot out of sight***

Toots have a look on www.adtrader.co.uk or ebay for one the same make.

Tia, while I understand what you are saying, still consider it, it's their job to chase it up, not yours! Unless people complain when a bad service is received, it's rare anything gets done. In our county we've been lucky in being given opportunities to shape the services with the council, but many areas don't. Up to you of course, but I'd suggest having a think about it, just my opinion.

Beef risotto is pleurgh! Still eaten it, not much choice, but it tastes like one of those pot noodle things, beef and tomato, yak! Problem is I have another one in the cupboard, might pop it in a hamper for someone. **sniggers** someone I dislike of course.

Managed to do some reading, kids still being a bit of a pain but think will brave it til the morning. I made them clean my car out of their junk, most of it's out, 2 bags of toys (inc DS2s DS he'd lost - no sign of mine tho they lost :( **sobs**) ) 2 bags of rubbish and there is a bit more left, horrible grotty children.

Right, more studying, don't think I'll be able to kick them out as they're now glued to Merlin. Need to clean and tidy the bathroom aswell, the showers a store cupboard for now as we've got one on site, but it's a bit of a mess at the mo :o Actually will do that first. Juliejim count me in :D better later than never.
One day I might be more organised...........

I've been out and about pretty much all of yesterday and today and have only just caught up.

Thank you for the HHC yesterday tootifrutti, or I would just have sat here and done nothing all day!

polkadot - glad that your cake helped raise so much money! Press coverage too - can I have your autograph now before you become famous??

moneysavingdiva - a second hand hoover for your 21st?? I wouldn't just have looked shocked, I'd have had a rolling on the floor drumming my heels and screaming tantrum!!!

mudbath - fab news about the puppy!

madcasey500 -:hello: you've done well this week - bet you're nesting! New baby photos absolutely compulsory on this thread when little one arrives!

poohbear - :hello:welcome back - glad you had a good holiday!

Okay, today I have done two lots of washing, the weekly shopping, typed up lesson plans and emailed to Head of Department and Head of Faculty (smacked wrist, should have done it yesterday instead of gardening), taken all three downtown shopping, and came back much poorer, although very much enjoyed the food fair that was on, and had morning coffee in the sunshine! Must go cook dinner...

ps Valli - I had to go to Boots yesterday (yes, really, I had to...) and used my £5 voucher on Davidoff Cool Water Wave, half price at £9.95, so only had to pay £4.95!!! Now have my eye on Eden for DD for Christmas.

  • Hello I'm new to this but sounds like fun so hope you don't mind if i join you. Haven't read all the thread but is it about organising, decluttering and motivating people to do housework?
I need a kick up the rear some days and don't have too much routine - I love the house spotless though and then spend all day stressed out if its not. I spend some days looking at something that needs doing and it just makes me worse.
I have 2 boys aged 5 and 2 1/2 who are very messy so constantly tidying up after them. We live in a new 3 storey 5 bedroom house with 4 bathrooms and I find it really hard keeping on top of everything simply because the house is so big. I've just come home from work and gutted the middle and top floor and I'm now shattered.
I work jobshare 10 shifts a month so my routine goes haywire when I'm in work.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated?

P.s forgot to say I also have a very smelly Sharpei dog x
