Oh no! It's the return of the one eyed monsters...

No, not that!
With the evenings drawing in earlier and earlier. It's the time of year that brings out these one eyed monsters driving on the opposite side of the road, one light is a lovely sidelight, the other a blazing headlight.
Save yourself the hassle of finding both bulbs have blown and need to call your breakdown service (and the eyes of oncoming traffic).
Spend a moment, and check all your bulbs are in working order.

Aldi had bulb kits available for about £3.99 a fortnight ago. They still had plenty when I went in a few days ago. Also try Maplin or your local stealer as more often than not they are much cheaper than Halfords.
And remember folks - light swirly mist at this time of year isn't fog, so you don't need to blind us with your rear fog lights. Fog lights should be like a tarts knickers - on and off all the time! The man without a signature.0 -
drives me mad, i see the same taxis week after week with lights missing
mine are changed within minutes of me noticing0 -
yeah i cant understand how folk can drive around like it for weeks , most cars are simple enough to change the bulbs over
easier than crashing or having an accident anyway lol0 -
feel sorry for some owners who have to go through hell to change a light bulb of their headlights. I think it was fifth gear who did an article on a car which only a garage can change a light bulb. I think it was a renault megane. The wheel and the wheelarch cover had to come off to gain access.Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

Changed a dipped bulb on a focus today. It was on the off side not a problem, but the nearside is twice the problem. Start by removing the battery
I might be tempted to get Halfords to change that one for a fiver.0 -
I put together a little kit of every possible bulb so if every single bulb blew, I would be able to replace them all. Me being me that includes bulbs for the switches and instrument panel :rotfl: I even have spare side repeater units as I know chances are when it comes to needing to replace the bulb, the old one will fall apart. You can get a small storage box with adjustable dividers suitable for the purpose from woolworths for £1 and if any bulbs need a screwdriver to get to you can plonk one of those in the box too. Also, it's quite easy to forget the reg plate bulbs so do check those too.0

Halfords is great for bulbs with the trade card discount though0 -

A dodgy light bulb is the least of anyone's problems with a Megane.0
