You don't actually have to provide your payment card details - you just take the confirmation to the hotel and pay there. I guess this means there might be some unused rooms if people chose 'any date' and then can't make it?

For anyone going to Gleneagles - DO NOT EAT IN THE ANDREW FAIRLIE RESTAURANT. It's a complete rip off. I went there in March , it cost over £200 for 2 inc wine and was not worth it.

I got a confirmation for Florence Email came at 3.46pm. My ref number was 0513 and I went for 2 nights in Hotel Regency in early December (I wanted Villa Massa but when I called the hotel to confirm what dates were available for the promotion they said they were closed from 15 November). Still can't complain, it's a great deal.

Congratulations - I'll see you there

I've checked the T&Cs and also the reservation but can't see confirmation that this is room only and without breakfast - I know I am very lucky to get a room and of course am not trying to push my luck at all, but just wondered if everyone else is assuming room only, no breakfast included?

Well the breakfast alone at Gleneagles is £20 a head, so they'd stand to lose £80 for two people, two nights. Therefore, I conclude that it'll be room only!

Florence sounds great, hope you enjoy it. That part of Italy is one of the most beautiful places on the planet, in my humble opinion.

Gleneagles is always inclusive of breakfast. It is honestly the best breakfast you will ever find, anywhere! Will definitely do for lunch also.

If you're not wanting to eat in Fairleys, there is another couple of restaurants - Strathearn - or Desco. Strathearn is 5 star dining, Desco is more like an upmarket tapas & pizza restaurant.

Or, there is a local pub in Auchterarder, name escapes me at present, which has good food and atmosphere if you're wanting to eat elsewhere.

Well done u lucky thing, my ref was 534, no emai yet,so fingers crossed but don't hold out much hope for my london choices.
