Hi, Was in the Army 83-87, about 4 1/2 years in total, would like to transfer what I paid into that pension to my civil service pension. I enquired many years ago ans was told I can't as I did not complete 5 years, anyone know if this is true or have the rules changed...?

The rules back then would still apply to you i believe....so if things have changed (which they have) i doubt you will make any progress but they can only say no.....so tryIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
You have to complete the transfer in within 12 months of joining the CS scheme, so even if the rules have no changed, going by " I enquired many years ago" you've probably missed the boat.
However, the "5 year rule" sounds like !!!!!!!!. depending on who told you that you might be able to get exemption to that time limit.0
