I'm (as you know) with 3 in the position of finishing 2 contracts (one at term and 1 after the change in T+C) and have had the "fun" that I'd expect really with this.
When everything is running OK and what you want to do is spend more then it is easy (internet add on, no problem). But any problems and you just beat your head on the wall really- I know the operators are sweet little indian guys reading from a script and they "know" nothing and have the power to do nothing- couldn't even get an agreement to confirm my termination of contract in writing! And as for finding out why my internet radio didn't work, after 6 months being fine, well noooo chance:rotfl: . THey really couldn't even grasp the concept that I was listening to the radio on the internet not the built in FM!
I have stayed with 3 (via DH getting us 6 month contracts) this time and we'll see.
I note with a kind of wry pleasure recently folks having big head on wall moments with most of the networks and that really, few folk on any network are getting a decent retention offer at the moment. So it isn't just 3.
Is your network staffed by little robots with no power/brain but a sweet voice? 3 certainly is!

4 contracts with 3 at the moment, 1 terminating today, got offered nothing for this contract, so this one is going to 02, the rest to follow, was very loyal to 3, but im seriously not happy with them lately.
02 have some great simplicity sim deals at the moment, no long tie ins
As for call centres, doesn't bother me whether they're in India, Wales, Scotland, England, they all read from scripts without deviation.0 -
i work for a call centre (mobile phones- not saying who for) and can assure you no-one in our company has scripts and it is very insulting when someone implies we arethings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then

No script reading for me either.
I got accused of being a robot the other day and that I kept repeating things, I was repeating things because he was asking the same question and it only had one bloody answer but unfortunately it wasn't the answer the customer wanted.
God I wish we could read from a script, would make the job easier.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -

i know what you mean when you have to tell a customer something that they don't want to hear, sometimes customers think you can work miracles or are lying to them if they dont like hte answerThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

You should have asked him if he was a robot as well as he kept asking the same thing! You could have said "Well, takes one to know one!". I think I'm going to have to work in a call center for a laugh! I might do that as a hobby, see how many places I can get sacked from.:rotfl:0 -
Why they even bother with the Bangalore call centre is beyond me...I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.
