Blinds for a bay window

I've been looking at some of the websites for blind companies, and the seem to be excellent value. One thing I'm confused though is about what is the best option for a bay window. We would like venetian blinds, and I'm not sure if we should buy 3 separate blinds or one on a curved rail? I can't seem to find any guidance on the websites either, sure it must be there though!!

too many comps..not enough time!

  • With Vertical blinds you can have seperate blinds or a curved track. Curved tracks tend to be more expensive then having seperate though. If it really is Venetians you want on a bay, then they are straight and you would have a blind in each panel.

I had venetian blinds professionally fitted in my bedrooms (surprisingly inexpensive from a local shop!), and I spoke to the guy about having venetians in my bay window. He too said that separate blinds were the solution. However, he did not recommend them as you end up with an awful lot of cords and controllers handing down. If you think about it, it must look a bit messy. My particular bay would require 4 different blinds.

You could have 1 control per blind these days. The tilting mechanism has the raise/lower cords inside it (like a wand with cords within) unlike the old type with 2 lots of controls on each side of the blind.
