Hi,
basically, we are a couple looking to let a property for the first time, we have both lived in student accomodation but are currently staying with my partners family . I am 22 and my partner is 27. We have joint income of approx £18,200 and are looking at properties coming in at under the £500 mark but are able to go a little bit above if required. we are looking to move out as soon as possible but as I have just moved jobs am looking at moving date not being until November once I have had my first full month's wage.
What would I have to look at for budgeting?
I know there is the obvious rent payments, council tax, water, gas ,electric, broadband, tv license, food shopping
Is there anything I am not thinking of here and how can I calculate things like electricity and gas before moving to have a rough budgetting guide? Also for things like water rates, if it just the two of us would it be a good idea to get a meter?
Sorry for all the questions, am a bit clueless
(be nice) and thanks for any help you can offer
