Hi all. We have never sold a house before, and on a visit by the estate agent we decided to use we were asked about the Homebuyers pack. He said if we pay now it is £300 through them or defer he would reduce the sale comission and take the £700 deferred price from the sale. He was quite pushy in saying that he needed to know there and then whether we were using him or another company. We decided to refer, nothing to lose? Well, 6 months on market, NO viewings and possible £700 bill that we can't afford as we want to take house off the market. I feel conned. Has anything wrong been done here? (apart from our naiveness and stupidity?) It does seem a bit of a con to us. Thanks in advance

Dont they all! Ask the agent to go though the contract with you, word for word.
Anything you dont understand, ask again until you are satisfied.0
