There are some really beautiful properties on RM for WC1, but I'm surprised by how many are empty.
    Illegitimi non carborundum.

  • I'm not sure, but there is a huge jump in rental availability since March.

Ok I've just checked again, and yes..

..even more properties come on at WC1, with many new properties and reductions in price found by NDG.

Interesting times. Hopefully it will teach people that being a desirable area doesn't mean people are prepared to pay any price.

We have just had a house that has been repossesed in a very desirable area at the moment not being auctioned and they had an open day on saturday.
It will be interesting to see how this develops as houses in this road do not hang about for long.

Yes - especially if they are starting to be repossessed.

Interesting. I wonder if we will see a rippling effect over the coming weeks, with this being the core, and a spreading outwards from here?
If prices drop here, then surely that pushes down prices in every other area?

i'm expecting a change in rental demand but sales are extremely slow.

What do you mean by decent properties?

I'm not sure if you mean the rental or sale market, either.

I'd have thought so. WC1 is bang in the middle of London, between the City and the West End. But the population is, on the whole, quite young and transient, apart from social housing (of which there is quite a bit).
