Should I switch from eon online extra saver 5
Options
Am I correct in thinking that the comparison sites do not take into account the massive 20.7% discount i receive for managing online and paying by direct debit. Yes they show the discount in the tariff details, but not in the comparison table.
So in effect they are comparing my current tariff before i receive my discounts.
for example my electricity tariff before discounts is 25.389p for the first 225 kWh per quarter, and 11.225p thereafter.
BUT after the discount, I calculated the actual price I pay is 20.133477p for the first 225 and 8.901425p thereafter.
There are no tariffs that come anywhere close to that.
Have I missed something? Have I got this completely wrong?

(Switch with) Which are notorious for not knowing their ar*e from their elbow and they regularly miss the online or DD discounts. Try USwitch.

Until recently I was on an energy online extra saver dual fuel plan with direct debit. I think i was getting about 16% total discount. I've just received a letter saying that prices are increasing from 22nd August and my online discount has been reduced to 2%. When I phoned to check what tarif I was now on I was told energy online. I assumed that all online discounts had been slashed but the above post suggests not. Anyone else had this experience?Awaiting a new sig0 -
Nope, the online discount is guaranteed until April 2009, Well it is on my tariff at least.0
