Chimney corner on a sat night plays this type of music.
Val :)
• Theres tonnes of places that play 80's music. As for the rock bit, Limelight used to, its crap now, the venue still does, and fridays in aunti annies is great as well.
• Just went to the La Lea site (friend mentioned this club to me)

OTHER PROMOTIONS ALL NIGHT LONG

Years ago the Limelight used to have an 80's night and I would drag hubby to it...ah, hounding the dj to play orange juice 'rip it up' nik kershaw ' the riddle' and anything by duran, cure, smiths - it was a brill night.. would love to go to la lea but worried I would look like an old foggie.

Was in Vegas last year though (I know its abit of a treck) and they had the best 80's club ever (link here) - suffice to say I was in it every night!
• Limelight definately sounds like were u wanna go!
Fri night is 80's night, Sat is more rock / metal, both might suit you.
Great place, varied crowd, young up to late 30's, £4 or £5 in, cheap drink, Fri (when i usually haunt the place lol) has vodka, stella and Snapps on offer, big measures, esp shots, shots are huge!
Laid back dress code, anything goes, converse up to dressy.
Def give it a try!
• Lol hate to disagree but i would defo not recommend anyone to go to limelight! Used to be great, has went downhill fast since spring opened. Lol the shots are not huge they are the same as everywhere else, i know i used to practically live there. Maybe fridays are the same that would be cool, but defo stay away on the saturday night, its not rock and metal no longer, most of the night is dance and rn b with some rock songs thrown in! The empire is great on a friday night if you looking for old school, not my thing but looking for an 80's night go to glamarama in the empire.

I think the M club was 70's music. We used to go to Paradise lost and *shudders* upstairs at Dempseys :o. Upstairs in the Coach in Banbridge and the Banville used to be good, but then that was a lot closer to the real 80s than now. I met Mr Sleepy in Paradise lost, just shows what you can catch when you go into those grubby places :D

Going back a bit ain't you Sleepy?;)

BTW I like R'n'B:o
• The Coach in Banbridge used to do that on a Friday night downstairs and Saturday night upstairs. They were ex nights out, don't know if they still do them. I spent most of my childhood there.:T :T :T
