Ryanair 15kg baggage??

Hi, im traveling with Ryanair tomorrow and can take a 15kg suitcase. I dont have any scales so cant weigh it. I have a rough idea of how heavy it should be, but am not really all that gret at this type of thing.

At the mo my suitcase feels really heavy and i dont even have that much in there! Can anyone help out?

Thanks

  • YOuwill hae to weight it- bathroom scaleswill do- weigh yourself, pick it up and weigh you+suitacse and then subtract your weight!

How big is your case? When we flew ryan air we used medium wheeled cases that were about 2/3 full only. When experimenting, if I put all the really heavy stuff (liquids etc) I could get a cabin bag size suitcase to weigh 15kg- it really isn't very much:mad:

15kg, you should be able to pick it up with one arm with not too much of a struggle.

If you have bathroom scales 15kg is 2.3 stones, so about the weight of a 3 year old.
  • take it to an unmanned check in desk tomorrow and weigh it then, if its too heavy then sort it out, carry more in handluggage, wear extra clothes etcyou will no doubt see plenty of opened cases tomorrow with other travellers doing the same, 15 kg is heavy you are probably getting worried over nothing
  • I dont have any scales, thats why its so hard..

Hmm, i would say mine is a medium size and pretty full, so i guess i have too much then?
  • Yeah i thought about the wearing extra clothes idea lol

I know you mean well but its an impossible question to ask over the internet. You might as well have asked "does my bum look big in this dress"? :D

That's not an impossible question. The answer is always NO!. Unless it is a man asking.

Liquids are really heavy. You dont really need a large bottle of shampoo, shower gel etc. Take half used ones if you can or put some in small bottles.Wear your heaviest shoes, cardi, coat etc. Look very carefully at what you are taking.....do you REALLY need it all?
  • Couldn't you borrow a set of scales from a neighbour?
