They are at it again they called me today. I got wary and asked them where they got my number and then I started going on about the telephone preference service said I didnt want what they were offering - a credit card with a £4000 limit! After the call I went on the telephone preferenceweb site and put in a complaint about their number. Beware!0

Get caller display and screen your calls.
If someone was at your door and you didn't like the look of them through a spyhole you'd not answer it.
Apply this to your phone.0 -

I had this today. Posted another thread as couldnt find one about it, sorry
Had a look through, and cant see this posted, so if ive missed it please delete this.
Had a call this evening from a 'company' that wouldnt give its name, only that they were working on behalf of Mastercard.
They said that my home number had been approved a £4,000 mastercard as I have always been a good citizen and paid my debts on time (totally false as im now in DMP). I played along to see what they said.
They had my address, home phone number and name. They said to send me my new Credit Card I needed to provide them with an existing Credit/Bank card details to confirm my address  . They wanted the whole 16 digits, expiry date and security code. I asked how this would confirm my address and was told that 'it just would'.
They wouldnt provide any company details or name or anything like that. The guy that phoned me, had a foreign accent, so they could be here or an international company. No number on the 1471 either.
Im sure that most people wouldnt fall for this. But there is always someone who would provide their current CC details.
So just to make people aware of it.I know my spelling is shocking  It is alot better than it used to be though :rotfl:0 -

People aught not to play with these scammers. You wouldn't do it at your front door. It's not a game and if you answer their questions (or even the phone) they'll no doubt pass your information to another party as a hot lead.0
