I want to connect my Dell inspiron 6400 to my pnasonic viera th37px70 plasma tv. I tried using the blue lead that normally connects my pc to the monitor but when i connected it to the pc terminal at the back of the television the image came out all blury and there was no sound. Is there a special lead that i need and if so which one is it. BTW i have HDMI on the back of the TV but not on the back of my laptop.
I'm not sure what connections it has on the back but this is a picture of the connections

The VGA > VGA lead is fine, you just need to adjust the resolution for the second monitor so it looks better.
You won't get sound because you're just using the tv as an extension to the monitor, and unless you've got an external soundcard then you won't have the connections to get the sound through the tv.0 -
should be no need for ext sound card
Laptop has an earphone output surely
if so you just need a 3.5mm jack plug to 2 phonos - plugged into Audio in on TV
I have 42px80 works fine for me0
