Bear with me! I'm totally useless with technology, but saw this advertised on Tiscali and wondered if it might be any good to clean up my system?

Is there a problem with your system then. I only ask as I normally subscribe to the saying, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

I personally do not believe there is a safe registry cleaner.

whats wrong with your system. It might be better posting what the problem is. Then people can recommend known solutions.

Hi guys, have got to go out for a bit - so may not see any replies until later on.

Puter running, but just slow and rather jumpy or "hic-cough-y" if you know what I mean? Just thought it might clean things up and make it run more smoothly - but thought that as I am a wuz I would ask first:o .

Keep getting error on page messages as well, but all seems to get there eventually. Suppose I could just do a de-frag and clear browsing history and cookies and so forth and see if that helps. Have AVG scanning for viruses and so-forth so it "shouldn't" be anything like that - although I know none of them are foolproof - and I got shot of Norton when it let in a nasty little Trojan:eek: .

Thanks for any advice you may have, and for not giving me a hard time for being a bit of a nitwit when it comes to the technology:o

oh, and scorpiokirsty's right, go to www.majorgeeks.com and get yourself the 30 day trial of TuneUp Utilities...it works well, IMHO.

I know several people who had very slow unresponsive computers, and uninstalling AVG and using Avira AntiVir instead made a noticeable improvement.
