would they fit a pre payment meter for her .then she could pay gas as she goes (so she not getting into more debt)then ask them if she can pay small amont each week off debt .i did this with eletric company .i have just finished paying off debt.they can take amount off meter .i payed four pounds a week but think you can pay less if on benfits .
p.s if she is with bg they will do this .:j0 -

It could be that they sent estimated bills which were understated, and have only just sent one based on the meter reading.0
