Watch out Morgan & Stanley Card Customers!

If you have a morgan stanley cash back card you will have been notified of the fact that your account will be transferred to Barclaycard. What they don't tell you is that there are significant changes to terms and conditions! Barclaycard charge an annual fee on opening your new account with them of £20! I tried to stop the account being opened but was told that i could do nothing until it was open.

Managed to close my MS ex-goldfish Buy and Fly card quite happily...by ringing up MS, they offered me £10 to keep the card account open as they were transitioning the accounts to Barclaycard - declined as it wasnt worth it...was gunning for a 0% frankly but did not happen and wasnt too fussed anyway.

They closed the account but mentioned a BarclayCard would probably make its way to me anyway, and it did.....you should be able to close your account whnever you like. Fee on account opening is bang out of order since its a transfer of accounts...

give them grief !

I've just phoned Barclaycard Cashback customer services about this. I have been told that there is no annual fee for ex-Morgan Stanley card holders, nor will there be next year etc.

So rest easy folks.
