I needed to replace two Sony VCR remote controls - Didn't fancy buying compatibles so went to the Sony UK website and discovered that:

……. are Sony’s parts supplier. I contacted their Sales Dept yesterday at 3.30 p.m. and ordered the remotes. Part and model numbers were checked. I was informed that the remotes were in stock and could expect to receive them in two days. I paid by credit card and anticipated receiving them on Thursday/Friday 24th/25th November.

I received them today at 11.30 a.m. Their invoice shows that they were dispatched at 4.09 p.m. yesterday.

The price quoted included VAT, Carriage and Insurance and wasn’t in my opinion
[for a Sony branded product] overpriced at £16.14, each.

Maybe I was lucky on this occasion to receive 5* service from this company but I did,
so thought it worthy of a mention here.

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but thanks. I am ordering a remote from them now and this post have given me a little more confidence. I too was surprised about the seemingly low price. I have ordered 2 x remotes and they say they will be dispatched within 1 day. Lovely stuff.

I paid for the item on Monday and today I got a full refund because although they stated they had the item for sale apparently they don't! :mad:
