Thanks mate. I dont know why search isn't working for me. I tried it on several machines to eliminate setup problems.
I was looking for an answer from someone who had done it, a post earlier in this thread mentions 'another thread' but I can't find it.
In terms of testing with a small BACs transfer I have read that people are uncertain about when they get their cashback so I am under the impression that my test would prove futile! I would be pleased to be corrected here.
If you are certain that the online BT's don't attract cashback (as I would expect) then it must be the BACs (but I still find it a surprise). I just didn't want to select the wrong option and regret it0 -
This was what I was talking about, from the OPandrew_b6k wrote:I'm also planning to transfer £10,000 savings into the egg money, and get 2% for transferring it out as mentioned on another thread on here. Do you think both stoozing and taking advantage of the 2% is a bad idea, as I'd like to keep the card long-term.
I just can't find that thread. Was the OP correct?0 -

Yes, it certainly was, cheers my friend. As stated in that post, BACs is how you are meant to get your money out so I am hoping they are not penalising people for the loophole they have left. I wont be moving a lot of money this way, just wanted to try it as I got a bigger than expected CC 0% offer and wanted to use it up.0

Got my statement today, no cashback on transfer to current account done this week by phone. Appears as a balance transfer, did not do transfer to earn cashback so quite happy.... Loophole closed or way CSA processed?0

I purposefully asked for a 'BACS transfer' several times. When the transaction was confirmed verbally (and via an email) it was described as a balance transfer. So I guess no-one is getting 2% for nothing anymore! Oh well, would have been nice though!
One other thing, the transfer (with a positive balance) was not limited by the credit limit as I have seen suggested elsewhere. I did not think it would be (as it is our money) but others have had a problem from what they had posted0 -
