Washing machine in the bathroom??

Can anybody tell me please if it is ok by law to plumb a washing machine into the bathroom.

The above will give an idea of what is permitted, you should consult a certified electrician for all electrical in particular when it is in the bathroom. You are not permitted to fit standard wall sockets anywhere in the bathroom.

My aunt has a tumble drier in the bathroom so I guess its kinda the same thing?

In europe it is common practice, as the hygiene aspects of dirty clothes in the kitchen is puzzling when you think of it. As I believe the machine has to be wired in to the wall permanently like the cooker , rather than a plug.
