Hi Glojo, if you are here as a rep for MB, you need to email the team to get permission to post ;)
But in answer to your question, yes it was a new car, however they did the same for me when I had a little problem with my 51 plated A3 last year too! I think sometimes the dealerships themselves can make or break someones view of a car, in my case I bought another Audi based on the knowledge that the customer service at Eastbourne was so good!

ETA I neither work for or represent Audi or the dealership :D
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:

:D:D Have no fear I neither represent, nor have any interests in Mercedes-Benz. I am though a bit of an anarok, but just like you I rate customer service extremely high.

I am definitely NOT recommending anyone to buy a Mercedes and I woiuld shout from the highest of high rafters for everyone to be very, very cautious about buying certain models of that marque that was built between the years of 1998 and 2004.. They have a well earned reputation for RUST, rust and even more rust...

Hopefully that will level out my posts, but Mobilo is a unique service that I believe is only offered by you know who :):)

My apologies in that case, I read one of your posts and took 'we' to mean MB :o

Customer service is a big thing in my choice of car, I had gone to BMW but the snotty salemans attitude meant I took myself and my cash right back out of there, Pretty Woman style muttering 'big mistake, huge mistake' :rotfl:

  • I used to spend a small fortune on servicing at Hughenden Valley Mercedes in High Wycombe (now defunct despite all my money), now I go to Osier Way in Aylesbury, to an ex-Mercedes trained mechanic who used to service most of the taxis around the town and since I did that I have cut the cost dramatically.

Gosh, and [STRIKE]aren't you[/STRIKE] isn't he too busy to be spending time on the internet trying to drum up business?
  • Hi Home_alone,
I also bought a new Mini ( great car) with the infamous 'free servicing'
Recently booked 2nd service.. (free of course- Not!)
I was told we will need to check and fit new brake pads £225.00 , oh and while we're doing that, well check the disk , if required (don't take bets they won't) that will be another £195.00
I'll leave you to do the math!
Buy free servicing up front again. Don't think so!
