Hello nuttywoman

Maybe someone on the 'UK Armed Forces' board will be able to help you.;)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Regards

• Do you have his address? No different to sending a parcel to a friend abroad. If you keep it under 2kg you can send it for free! :)

Tricky one, if he's attached to a UK unit then you can use the British Forces Post Office (BFPO) address.
http://www.bfpo.mod.uk/index.html
If not then you might get away with posting it via BFPO if they have an office wherever he's based.

Probably best to contact their enquiries team on 08457 69 79 78

Not to a US soldier. Unless as the previous poster suggests, that he is attached to a UK unit and is part of a BFPO.

If not you would need to send it to his APO address. I'm not sure if there are concessions for US military via Royal Mail but it really wouldn't cost very much to send a card :D
• Your best bet is to send it to some place like mildenhall or lakenheath, where they can pass it on free of charge.

I would ring up lakenheath, ask for the postal section / office and explain what you are trying to do. Make it clear that if you can send them that parcel, they can open it, check the contents and forward the item to you.

They may come up with an answer themselves.

If you're daughters in the States you could post it to her & then she could post it into the US military system. An expensive faff but should work.
