Crossing all fingers etc but it looks rather grey and blotchy and having got on my ladder I saw the top is also going soft so it seems pretty terminal to me. Oh well I was fed up with 2" spines perforating me whilst watering.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

Sad to hear that it's 'going soft at the top'. It would have been possible to save it if it was only rotting at the bottom and I would have explained how.0

Can you not lop the top off. My friend left his outside and this did the same thing the bottom was ok, he brought it back inside after chopping the top off and it started growin again with new little cactus appearing at the point where you chopped it down.!If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0
