Fair quote for relaying turf etc.?
Hi there
We're looking to get our garden lawn relayed due to very bad moss infestation (best option amongst gardeners we've consulted and it looks pretty obviosu to us that it will take too much work to sort it the usual way).
Anyway, we've had 2 varying quotes on the work to be carried - just wondering if the cheapest is reasonable, as I've no idea!
OK, work is as follows:
Patio Paving (28 sq metres) - Clean via powerwash, removing dirt/moss. Also to lift up 3 sq metres due to sinking and level up (I assume with sharp sand etc.?).
Lift current lawn (46 sq metres), apply fresh topsoil and lay new lawn.
1st quote was around £1,500!! 2nd one is £995 - does this sound reasonable (obviously includes tool/skip hire, new turf and labour).
Thanks for your advice.
Cheers
