Alliance and leicester customer services

Ok had someone get hold of my card details 2 months ago so lost about £450 on my account, phoned up CS and it went fine at first, but £350 came in within a week and I thought the rest would come soon, 2 weeks later nothing so rang but didnt have pin code(never had one sent) was on hold 45 minutes to CS then 15 to fraud team who said thats everythingand thats all im getting

I was further confused by getting forms in post saying I had to fill them in and return within 7 days or the money they refunded will be taken out again.

Did so

I dont have a home phone so cant ring often so went into branch and tried there but was promised a new pin so I wouldnt have to wait so long each time I rang

It arrived within a week but didnt work! so got another sent out waited a week, never arrived, then another, never arrived, then another.

Anyway I phoned again today and have been trying since about 4pm

On hold for 30 minutes at first then the advisor heard my querys then put me on hold for a minute but "accidently" put me back in automated service.

So another 15 minute wait, then the same woman answered but pretended she wasnt the same person(yet with same voice, and name) then said hold on a minute she would get me a new pin sent, then cut me off!

Then another 15 minute wait and im sure it was same woman though this time she said the fraud team closed at 5 so I had to ring back Monday!

I have wasted loads in phone calls!

Is this worth a complaint?

  • I don't think I'd be phoning a bank today. I imagine they've been pretty busy over recent days/weeks.

    Of course, why you're only getting £350 instead of £450 is beyond me.
