globalfitservices.com credit card scam

Watch your card statement for unauthorised transactions from a company called globalfitservices.com. This scam appears to have hit a number of UK Internet users earlier this month. The card numbers don't seem to be sourced from phishing or spyware (certainly mine wasn't).

  • Yes - they hit my account for US$386.00 on 21-11-2004. Interesting thing is that my account is in the United States.
  • Yes, they are in the USA now.

I have a transaction dated 11/20 on my VISA bill for $411US to globalfitservices.com, whom I had never heard of before. ???

I reported it as a fraudulent transaction. My card number has been canceled, and the VISA people are looking for the bad guys.

The VISA folks said I would have my refund in 60 days.
