got some money how to keep it 'safe'

we recently sold our house and moved area and are in rented accomodation right now.

We won't be buying again for at least another 2 years as we won't be able to settle anywhere permanent untill then (OH'S work)

We have 25k from the equity from the last house and are unsure what to do with it. We won't need to access any of this money altough there is an option that I will be expanding my business so it can't be tied up either

And of course with everything that is going on at the moment we want to make sure that our money is safe.

What would be the clever thing to do?
