Not planning on spending anything today. In fact not planning on spending anything until next shopping day (Sunday or Monday) but don't suppose that'll happen!0

totally out of rice and pasta so need to buy some of that to make it through till the end of the month. Also need a couple of potatoes for dinner tonight. Man on the market gave me some really duff ones, won't be going back there then. Need to post off ebay item, plus my engagement ring as the claws have come loose (again).Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
Current debt: £14,000.00
Debt free date: June 20080 -
Tondella. DO go back to the market man again and tell him about his duff potatoes. He might give you some good replacements then. You'll feel better and he won't rip you off next time. We must learn not to put up with poor service in this country."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

Hi folks, Very new newbie here but I'm full of admiration for the people on this site. One question though and it's this. I see on a few of the posts "debt free day " and a date in the future. What's all this about please and at debt of £140,000 I guess my debt free day might be a bit off yet.

If you have Microsoft Money, it will give you a debt free day if you use the planner. Same with https://www.whatsthecost.com snowballing calculator. Basically you input the data (amounts and interest rates) and they work out a repayment plan and a date when you will be debt free. Most of us don't include mortgages because that would make it too depressing;).0 -
Spent £1.56 in Budgens on sliced bread for sarnies and 2 large Quality Street chocs (you know, the green triangle and orange hexagon). Spent £20 in poundstretcher and £10 in Peacocks but that was with the Xmas money vouchers I'd saved for this year so it doesn't count!! Just have to get my kids prezzies now so I'm off to Woolies tomorrow with the rest of my vouchers!Mortgage-free wannabe!0
